Yes, dogs are allowed in the park, but we ask owners to keep their dogs under close control at all times.
Please do not take dogs into our Education areas along the river & take extra care when we are hosting school groups, do not approach children with dogs & do not interrupt a session.
We have livestock on site – dogs must be on a lead in all fields containing livestock – no exceptions. If you are unsure whether livestock are in a field, put your dog on a lead.
We have Cuerden View Café & The Roost outdoor bar & kitchen on site, via the Berkeley Drive Car Park.
In either case, dogs are welcome in both venues. We ask dogs to be on a lead & not on any furniture. This includes sitting on people’s knees. Please keep dogs on the floor.
Bins are emptied twice a week by the staff team, on Mondays & Fridays. Please be patient with us.
Ultimately, it is your dog, your waste, your responsibility. If you come across a bin that is full, please keep hold of your dog waste until you find a bin that isn’t, or take it home with you.
Littering is a crime & dog waste in bags is a significant hazard for wildlife & our staff who clean it up. This includes leaving your rubbish next to a full bin.
Disposable BBQs are allowed in the park. We ask you to use the benches provided in the picnic area, which have metal plates designed to take the heat. Do not light them in grasslands or woodlands, as we have suffered from uncontrolled fires in the past.
If the bins are full, please take your litter home with you.
You cannot fly your drone at Cuerden Valley Park without permission from the staff team. The park is private land, and as such, we reserve the right to refuse. Cuerden Hall is also privately owned, and they similarly do not allow the flights of drones over their land.
Should you wish to purchase a parking permit, please contact the staff in the office via 01772 324436.

You can access any of the car parks on site with a permit, which includes:
You can have up to two vehicles on one permit with us. Please contact the staff team if you change vehicles
Fishing is not allowed throughout Cuerden Valley Park. This includes the Reservoir, ponds & tributaries. As we’re a conservation charity, this goes against our main objectives.
Fishing aids in the spread of disease in our local fish stocks. Nets & fishing line can also entrap Wildlife.
We do not offer fishing permits.
Yes, we offer ceremonies & receptions – with the infrastructure in place to offer a tailored day – perfect for your requirements.
